What the installation actually involves

Refrigerant lines, the interconnecting cable and the condensate drain run together, so the route is where the thinking goes. The outdoor unit sits on brackets or a ground frame with anti-vibration mounts. The pipework is pressure tested with nitrogen, evacuated to a deep vacuum to remove moisture, then the system is charged, commissioned and demonstrated. Electrical work is carried out by qualified electricians and certificated as part of the job.
Condensate deserves its own paragraph, because it is where cheap installs go wrong. An indoor unit in cooling mode produces water constantly, and that water needs a continuous fall to a proper drain, or a condensate pump where gravity cannot do it. Lower Luton Road. A main village road carrying a concentration of the locally listed stock. Rear elevations and side returns usually offer a workable position, and keeping the unit low and quiet matters as much as keeping it hidden.
The post-war estates on the former works sites. Housing that replaced Murphy’s chemical works and the Helmet Works is conventional to work on, and these are among our quickest installs. The driver is usually a hot south facing bedroom or a glazed extension.
Amwell and Gustard Wood. Small scale cottage stock, much of it seventeenth and eighteenth century, twenty statutory Grade II listings at Gustard Wood alone, and Green Belt designation on top at Gustard Wood.
