Glow-worm F.61 Fault Code: Gas Valve Control Fault

F.61 on a Glow-worm is a fault in the gas valve control system. The board cannot properly control or verify the gas valve.
Anything involving gas valve control is engineer work. Do not reset and carry on.
What F.61 actually means
The gas valve is what admits gas to the burner, and the control board drives it electrically. The board also checks the valve is responding as commanded.
If that control or verification fails, the board cannot be certain the valve is behaving, so it locks the appliance out.
What you can safely check yourself
Do not keep resetting a gas valve control fault.

What causes it beyond the simple checks
A loose, corroded or damaged connector at the gas valve, damaged wiring between the valve and the board, a failed valve coil, or a board output fault. Wiring and connectors get checked first because they are common and far cheaper than a valve.
