Affinity took one hardness sample there in 2025: about 283 mg/l as calcium carbonate, with 113 mg/l of calcium. Water where it should not be? Three things first
Turn off the stopcock
Clockwise until it stops. It is normally where the main comes in: under the kitchen sink, in a utility room, or under the stairs or in a cellar in an older house.
Switch off the heat
If the water is hot, switch off the boiler and any immersion heater so the cylinder is not heating with nothing coming in.

Several bathrooms, one hot water supply
A four or five bedroom house often runs a family bathroom and en suites from one cylinder. When one shower weakens as another is turned on, the cause is usually the pipe size, the incoming flow or the cylinder, not the shower. We measure first.
